Flyfish Club Settles With the SEC
The non-fungible restaurant Flyfish Club has reached a $750k settlement with the US SEC. The regulatory agency argues that NFTs are securities and must be registered before being offered to non-fungible degens.
The SEC stated that Flyfish Club sold 1,600 NFTs to users, netting $14.8 million from the sale. The fund was meant to finance the construction of an exclusive restaurant and bar under the project’s name. NFT holders gain access to the eatery and can decide to sell the digital collectible on the secondary market.
