NFT Event of the Week
CryptoPunks Introduces New Art Series
CryptoPunks, one of the top NFTs, unveiled its newest art series – The Punk in Residence. Poised to blend Web3 tech and traditional art, this series will feature collaborations with prominent artists to create art collections with CryptoPunks’ traits.
The first of its kind will be a 500-piece NFT collection called Super Punk World. Designed by Nina Abney, a contemporary artist and painter, the collection features hybridized 3D sculptures that cut across themes like race and gender. It also includes CryptoPunk traits, such as 3D glasses, crazy hair, and hoodie. The collection is set to be auctioned on May 29.
Sounds interesting, right? Well, here’s a shocker – some community members gave unfiltered feedback about the new art series. Many argued that the NFT series did not portray the aesthetics common to the CryptoPunks collection. Others threatened to dump their Punk NFTs.

NFT Drop of the Week
Pink Venom by Blackpink
Blackpink, a K-pop girl group, is immortalizing one of their best-seller songs on the NFT realm. Dubbed Pink Venom, these collectibles feature all four Blackpink members in outfits from DEMOBAZA, a Bulgarian fashion brand renowned for its minimalist and futuristic aesthetic.
A dedicated drop will be held daily in a five-day celebration to celebrate each Blackpink member. The series will also feature two additional collectible sets to be released on the final day. Owning one of these collectibles unlocks access to unique perks endorsed by the girl group.
