Christie’s Introduces Blockchain Certificates
Luxury auction house Christie’s has inked a partnership with the wallet provider Kresus to launch non-fungible certificates of a photography collection on the blockchain. Dubbed “An Eye Towards the Real: Photographs from the Collection of Ambassador Trevor Traina,” the photography collection comprises over 130 lots by notable artists.
Collectors will receive one-of-one digital certificates for each of the 130 lots through the Kresus Wallet via the auction. This procedure simplifies the authentication of these photographs and helps onboard users to the growing blockchain ecosystem.
