News Story of the Week

Magic Eden Debuts Non-Fungible DAO

NFT marketplace Magic Eden has introduced a new community-led organization called the Non-Fungible DAO to bolster decentralization. The marketplace has also open-sourced its major NFT protocols to the DAO.

The DAO will be powered by a native token called $NFT. The currency will serve as a governance token within the community, allowing token holders to vote on proposals, decision-making processes, and other fund allocation matters.

Although the NFT token is yet to be released, there’s a catch! When the asset goes live, the majority of its supply will be distributed among members who interact with the open-sourced protocols housed by the Non-Fungible DAO. Stand a chance to be one of them!

NFT Drop of the Week

Turf War by Banksy

Time to travel back in time! A decade ago, street artist Banksy debuted their first major exhibition dubbed Turf War. The art piece featured is a stencil artwork that depicts the British figure Winston Churchill with a green mohawk.

Fast forward to the present, art tokenization firm 10101.art is fractionalizing the iconic art piece into 1,500 NFTs. This allows many people to own a piece of Banksy’s legacy. The collection’s first phase saw 300 collectibles sold within two hours.

Did you miss the first phase? Join the second phase and collect one of the fractionalized NFTs.
